Pumpkin Patch

As you might recall from last year, the best Pumpkin patch in Orange County is, hands down, Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch.  Unfortunately, they don't have very good planning skills, however, and planned a county-wide, high school track meet on the grounds just two Saturdays before Halloween, which just happened to be the same Saturday that we planed on going! {Big sad face.}

We had Ava amped up on "punkies" (pumpkins) and "cho-cho" (train) and "horsey" (horse) rides all to find out, in the drizzling rain, that there was absolutely no parking left, but that we could drive back in two hours (yeah right!).

Fortunately we have an "in" in the Orange area with some horseys.

We just made our way over to Grandpa and Grandma's.  Ava wasn't too disappointed.

Critiquing Grandpa's riding....

And Grandma's strawberries.

Do ya think Jeff grew up a little bit of a country boy???

Not bad for a rained-out-no-parking punkie patch...
