The Nutcracker

One other mommy-daughter date recently was visiting The Nutcracker.  I had my doubts seeing that there is nothing but dancing for nearly three hours, but Ava loved it so much that this may become an annual tradition.  (I loved it, but that nice, cozy, darkened theater made me a bit sleepy.  I'll just blame that one on sleep deprivation!)  It was such a joy to see her eyes light up.  She clapped after every scene with enthusiasm reminiscent of Julia Roberts seeing the ballet for the first time in Pretty Woman (which is, of course, one of the greatest movies of all time.)  ;)
